At last nights monthly Coiste Forbartha na Carriage meeting details were announced about the planned new playground for the area the statement when as follows:

Our new Playground Project was officially announced at the Coiste Forbartha Na Carraige meeting tonight. Carrick Mental Health association has agreed to lease the property adjacent to the Day Care Centre carpark at the river for the project.

Both the playground designer and architect met with our parent’s subcommittee, the trustee of the site, local county councilor, committee members and other friends of the project who shared their expertise and advice enthusiastically.

We plan to complete the playground this year, but we must raise an estimated €31,000 to do so. This is an enormous amount of money to collect in a small area, so we need the whole community to get behind us. If you have an idea or better still can organize a fundraiser (no matter how big or small) for the playground that would be fantastic.

If you normally run events for other charities perhaps you would consider the playground as a benefactor of your event this year.

If you need help to organize an event please contact us by speaking to a committee member or by email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
We need a massive community effort to complete this project that will benefit families from the surrounding areas.

Details will appear for our opening fundraising shortly.
