Great news today planning permission has been granted for Riverside Playground.
What a fantastic week this has been for the playground project. Planning permission follows the announcement a couple of days ago that we have been awarded a grant of €130,000 by LEADER. This in turn followed on from a memorable night in the Blue Haven which raised €11,000. This brings our total raised to €20,000 of our €40,000 target
Thanks again to the people throughout the two parishes for supporting and encouraging all our fundraising events to date. With this this level of community support in the 6 months since we first identified the (at that time) “potential” playground site, we will now press on to raise the remaining €20,000 to complete the project.
